Faylinn turns in the saddle to watch the lone horse as they pass, curious. After a moment, she turns Poppins in that direction, announcing, "I will catch up."

Finn nods to Faylinn, and then answers Rebecca, "I assumed medical supplies would be needed. I had to keep it inside the local axioms, but I think you will be pleased. I will point out the barn and cellar when we pass it." He gestures, "I will speak to Tristan. Fay sensed caves, if they are usable, they would make excellent and defensible shelter."

He watches the apparent refugees, alert for anyone looking a bit too closely at the new arrivals.

"Way ahead of ya," Rebecca says absently, watching the people of the camp, counting heads, drawing up and discarding plans, picking out familiar faces. "Waytt'n and I mapped 'em years back. But tha deeper one's have been our secret 'til now."

Most faces around the camp are not familiar to Rebecca. They look like they could be from Silver City, but then again, they could be from elsewhere. All notice how little leadership there is in this disorganized, almost chaotic, settlement. The people look depressed, worried, wounded, yet they continue on and about whatever duties they find. Yet the tension is still there and it would not take much to put some fire on this powderkeg...

Wyatt makes his way to the stables nearest to the Lone Pine and ties singer to one of the posts outside, suggesting he does not expect to be long. He quickly gestures for the group to do the same. "Let's go! Uncle T's inside."

Most of the pieces of furniture that adorned the many room of the large building lay outside, against the south walls, covered in dusty sheets. The inside of the Lone Pine is now a makeshift hospital and is fairly quiet. The group walks by coughing children, men missing a limb or recently scarred. There's also a room for burn victims it seems and what looks like a trauma room. Men and women of all ages are found inside the Lone Pine and more people are grouped here than anywhere else in the camp.

Wyatt leads them all the way through until he finds Uncle T, assisting Doc Dee, a portly fellow with a stained white shirt, eyeglasses and a thin pointy black beard. They are bandaging a poor crying fellow, no older than 17, who lost both his arms.

As he finishes his job, Uncle T looks up to see Wyatt then sees Rebecca. Tears begin forming in his eyes and his large mustache hides a pinched smile. He rushes to her and hugs her. "I've bin prayin' fer a miracle, Rebecca..." he says in a low voice that all can hear in the quietest of houses. Creaking wooden floors and the distant moans of the wounded.

Though she is no stranger to death or blood, Rebecca is still ghostly pale and uncharacteristically pale when she all but falls into her stepfather arms, hugging him tightly in return. She closes her eyes and breathes out a shuddering breath. She had been afraid of the condidion Tristan was going to be in when she finally saw him, and almost cries in relief that he seems ok. Physically at least.

"I'm here now," she speaks lowly. "The other's can't stay, but I'm here now."

She pulls back and looks him in the eye. "We need ta talk. Where's good?"

"The kitchen," he says, nodding at Finn and the rest in lieu of full-fledged salutations. Finn recognizes the exhaustion that comes from the sorrows of continued warring in his eyes and in his slowed demeanor.
"Follow me, everyone." He steps back and on his way out, puts his hand on the doctor's back and asks, "Doc, can you handle things here a while?" Doc Dee nods quickly as he finished the bandage.

He takes the odd bunch to the kitchen which is now the supply relay. Small wooden stools are placed in front of tin buckets filled with potato peels. He pushes a stool with his foot to the center of the large kitchen and sits down. "Help yourself to whatever you like, I imagine you're all hungry." Wyatt takes a stool and hands it to Rebecca so that she may sit closest to Tristan. He leans back next to the heavy iron stove.

Tristan is quiet and slow, giving them time to get settled and help themselves to the supplies available.

Rebecca silently strokes Wyatt's cheek in a gesture of thanks and a lot more that doesn't require words. She sits by Tristan and sets her Trump deck and her flash on the table in front of her. "I should call Dad now. So he can hear ever'thin' at tha same time the rest of us do. Don' know what he can do ta help, but it can't hurt ta ask since he was gonna be here fer a short bit anyway."

She gives Tristan's hand a reassuring squeeze and focuses on Eric's card while the rest gather food or drink.

Eric is unreachable. The card remains cold but lends nothing in the way of connecting to him, as if the trump were inert.

Rebecca drops her head forward and curses. Not now .... not now. She looks back over her shoulder at Finn. "It ain't workin' fer some reason. It's cold, but that's all I got. Maybe someone else should try."

Finn's appearance blends in rather well with the make shift hospital, making him appear as either a surgeon or a victim. He arrives as he had travelled, frowning slightly, his dark eyes thoughtful. It is clear that he is concerned byt the lack fo focus in the refugees, and whether it is because he is surprised by the lack of leadership or concerned by the possible dangers, none can say. He dismounts quickly when told where Tristan is, whispering for Blake to be vigilant, and moves to follow Wyatt and Rebecca into the buildling. Finn gestures for Fay and Kade to follow, and taps the side of his neck as he looks to Fay; watch for the marks.

He seems unmoved by the unjuries he sees, though it is clear that he misses nothing. He watches the Doctor handle the young amputee as Rebecca greets her Uncle, turning to look around the room, gathering the details and filing them away. Finn raises an eyebrow at Rebecca's statement, and when Tristan waves them onward, he pauses to speak to Wyatt, "Don't forget. Check your men for the mark."

Finn follows Tristan and Rebecca into the kitchen, and shakes his head at Tristan's offer. "I thank you for your hospitality, as ever, Tristan, but we'll not be taking anything off your hands. I've laid in more supplies on the way. We have what we need, and won't leave you short of anything by taking what you can't really afford to give." He smiles slightly, "We have everything we need for the moment, save perhaps ammunition." He glances to Rebecca as she brings out her Trumps and steps over to Tristan, quietly he warns the man. "There's a problem, Tristan. At least, a possible one. There's a warlord that is determined to bring a string of worlds into line. I believe this means Cimmaron as wel. He is using puppets, men that bear a mark on their bodies, that he controls. It grants them power, and gives him eyes that no one will notice. You need to get to the men you trust, check them, and have them check everyone else. I've already warned Wyatt."

He gestures, "Faylinn is my Sister, and Arkadios there is our cousin, she's far more versed in metaphysics than I. We were under fire on our way in, the men we took down all bore a sigil. If you've had any odd information or secuirty leaks, that could be the reason. Never hurts to be careful."

Finn's eyes flick to the Trumps with a flicker of distaste, "Faylinn, Arkadios, perhaps either of you could try to raise the King? Or both together." He turns back to Tristan, "What do you need most? I can't provide more men, nor can we afford much time here, but I will shore up what I can." He pauses, "You recall the description of world's Rebecca's Mother tried to impart to you? We are travelling on a mission that will, we hope, save our world and all the rest from all this --" He gestures beyond towards the wounded, "--darkness."

Tristan looks paler after absorbing everything Finn lays on him. He brings his eyebrows together and sighs slowly. He tries to relax and in a rather quiet voice, he says with a ghost of a smile, "Pleased to meet you. Faylinn, Arkadios. Please have some water, at least, the lot of you. If you need to change and freshen up before you're on your way we can accommodate that too..."

Tristan nods quietly. Looking down, thinking.
There is a weakness in him that was not there before. Something that only coping with true terror might have brought on.

Rebecca wraps an arm around Tristan's shoulders. "What's happened, Uncle T?" she asks gently. "Wyatt talks about tall metal machines, and children being taken, Silver City -- gone. The ranch looks mostly untouched, but all these injured..."

A nod and a brief smile to Tristan.

Kade watches and listens, his manner gives no indication of his inner turmoil. Finn's request for him to attempt contacting Eric comes as a welcome relief.

Reining in he draws forth Eric's Trump and attempts to initiate contact.

Faylinn nods politely when introduced and says politely, "Sir."

She waits with folded hands for Kade to try Eric first before she adds herself to the mix.
