Only stories survive from that Avalon. Stories, and you. You remember the silver towers of Camelot and the war that caused its downfall, the dark years when all you loved was being destroyed. You remember the years when the war faltered and eventually ceased, and the recent years when attempts have been made at rebuilding. The people you knew in the days of Camelot are long dead, and their descendants tell the stories and only half believe them. You have found it expedient to hide your longevity, for it would be considered unnatural, and the people are afraid of anything that hints at sorcery.
And deep in the Forest Sauvage, according to tales that have sprung up among the people in the last few months, some evil is stirring: there is talk of black trees, and menacing shadows that creep about the forest, and distant howling that is not made by wolves.
