I'm reading 'Shadows Linger' by Glenn Cook. Just finished 'the Black Company' about a month ago and I'm trying to find the time to continue the series.

Also re-reading Exalted 1st edition since I've got a new player interested in it so we might start a new FtF game.

I'm reading "Cowboy Slang", "Never Ask A Man the Size of His Spread", and the "US Army Combat Skills Handbook". Character research. Smile

I'm also reading "Her Majesty's Spymaster: Elizabeth I, Sir Francis Walsingham, and the Birth of Modern Espionage", and "Between the Lines: the Subtle Elements of Fiction Writing".

I am going through The Chronicles of Narnia. I am currently on Voyage of the Dawn Treader.

Not tough books, but fun reads.

I'm sure I'll eventually get to read the Narnia books... Too many books, too little time.

I've been re-reading a lot of R.E.Howard Conan stuff because of playing Age of Conan.
Also reading 'The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay' by Michael Chabon. This was given to me. It's a novelization of the early years of comic books. K&C are like Kirby and Lee. It is very well written.

Current active books:
Mattingly, Renissance Diplomacy (research for GMing my Sunday afternoon game)
Csikszentmihalyi, Flow

Books that I haven't been reading but haven't given up on:
Melber, Judaism: a religion of reason (confusingly, this is a commentary on an earlier work by the same name, which I don't currently have access to)
Kohn, Punished by Rewards (interesting, but drowns the reader in extremely dry footnotes)

Just finished Neal Stephenson's 'Quicksilver' fascinating look at a period of history I've always skipped. 1640 - 1700's. The birth of modern science.
Just started on 'The Name of the Wind' by Patrick Rothfuss. It's written well but so far I have the impression that the reviews are wildly overblown.

I'm on a Lovecraft fix atm due to the mini-campaign of Call of Cthulhu I'm running.

Other than that I'm reading a book on PHP development... woot. >_<
