April tries her best to blend into the trees as she concentrates on being distinctly not home to the Trump call.

If she manages to weather the contact, she will openly approach the figure leaning against the tree, trying to get an angle where she can see it by moonlight.

The strategic spot the person has chosen only grants her a silhouette: a man, thin, muscular and nude. He has long hair and looks as if he is holding no weapon. When he sees April walk to him, he does not foolishly stay in the Shadows, but rather steps into the moonlight.

To go with his long hair is a long beard. He holds his hands up and says, "I did not mean to startle you if I have."

His eyes narrow down a bit, "I was just keeping an eye on things around here..." he explains carefully. "Like I always do. What sort of alliance is underway here? Ian was rather vague."

"Ian is vague about a lot of things," April says grimly. "But I'm not convinced yet that you deserve any more answers than what you already have. I don't have time to keep every crazy naked guy in the loop."

After a momentary pause, she prompts "This is the point where you tell me what's so special about you that I should make the effort to bring you on board."

His eyebrows furrow and he mutters, "I'm not crazy... And I'm guessing that you're quite new here and by the look of it related to Count Taltos, whom you call Ian. I know something's goin' down with Taltos and his lady friend and the Ashelts, but I'm trying to figure out how you fit in... You brought a lot of people back and I wanted to find out what was going on. Windborne is coming under a lot of attention very rapidly and I'm wondering why." He pauses.

"You already know my name, what Ian may not have told you is that I am the keeper of the Seal... And I know some of the folks you brought with you."

"I don't know why the attention has held off until now," April says. "If I had known what you had here, I'd have been all over it well before this. This is exactly the kind of thing that will draw forces from the Black Road, and you folks are ... no offense intended ... sitting ducks."

When they reach the edge of the forest, Feather begins his explanation, "The place you climbed out of is where we go before we sleep. It takes time for us to fall into solace... Sometimes years. When we walk the worlds, the Pit follows us. Sometimes, the Pit swallows us before our time." He turns to look at April, "How did you fall into the Pit? You don't travel the worlds using the same mean as we do, do you?"

"As for the Pit, I followed a freaky little crow that knew the way." She thinks for a moment. "I still haven't decided whether it was trying to trap me, or trying to get help for the people already trapped there."

"Hmm, why would anyone want to help them get out?" he asks as he walks, picking up his pace. The wind picks up and slows and the winds change. April sees him sniff the air for a moment, then he continues walking. His direction is the cave that contains the 'Seal'. He looks at April and continues conversing with her, "So, you and Ian are rallying the people here in the preparation of the coming forces of the Black Road. I want to help, and I know these lands more than anyone else... Except perhaps the realm of the fair people..." He looks ahead, towards the Black Mountains and asks, "How long do we have until the Black Road reaches here?"
