Setting:
Greymoor, a Shadow near the Golden Circle that holds various trade agreements and other treaties with Amber and Begma. The campaign starts in the middle of the PatternFall War. The Black Road extends throughout Shadow and all the way to the foot of Kolvir. While the Elder Amberites are occupied with defending Amber under King Eric, their progeny work to prevent the various shadows of the Golden Circle from collapsing under the Chaos menace. Although a lot of major things occur in Amber and the Golden Circle, the focus of this mini-campaign is Greymoor.
Amberites have been paying a lot of attention to Greymoor and its many city-states for the sheer reason that it has been victorious without the aid of the Amber military, unlike other Shadows that belong or are near to the Golden Circle.
King Eric and his advisors realize now the importance of the shadow called Greymoor. It is likely to become the first line of defense and an important strategic point in the war against Chaos forces. Once the enemy realizes it, they are likely to focus their attention upon it and use it as a strategic conquest...
That's where the Player Characters come in.
Character Creation:
Character creation will start once we have 4 or more dedicated players (so tell your friends).
Characters will be based on 100 points, using the ADRP rules. Advanced powers are allowed at character creation, with GM approval of course.
Concepts will require GM approval before being posted in the PC thread (PM me your concept).
Sons and daughters of Royal Amberites are recommended, but I'm open-minded and always excited when players are being creative, so feel free to share your crazy concepts too.
Anything else from Amber Diceless and Shadow Knight can be used for character creation.
Campaign Theme:
Military strategy, War Time Politics, the PatternFall (and what that entails metaphysically) and dealing with the Black Road will be major themes in this campaign; but don't dismiss the importance (and advantages) of Power, Intrigue, Subterfuge and Subtility. They will be key to the success of the PCs just as much as the physical prowess that the Amberites display on the battlefield. |
